Mike Ford, CEO and Founder
Mike started TownConnect to help better organize and connect families and friends in his town. After coaching his kids sports teams and volunteering at their school, Mike realized every local group faced the same problems organizing, communicating and scheduling their members and activities.
Previously, Mike was Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, for Did-it Search Marketing, a leading interactive agency focused on auction based media. Ford led Did-it’s business development, sales and marketing functions for advertisers that included E*TRADE, Cingular Wireless, Match.com, and Register.com.
Prior to Did-it, Mike led vertical business development for Quigo Technologies in NYC (acquired by AOL) where he developed key publisher partnerships with PGATour.com, Golf Digest, Robb Report, IDG and Boston.com. Mike was President and founder of Computer.com, a technology media company. He grew the classic name-on-a-napkin, garage start-up into a highly publicized site and then sold it to the online technology site of Office Depot. From raising funds, to developing and launching the product to appearing in Computer.com’s famous Super Bowl ads, he was instrumental to the company’s fast trajectory.
He has been a guest speaker for Inc. Magazine CEO Conference, Webmaster World, Boston College and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Boston Globe, NY Times, Ad Week, Ad Age, San Jose Mercury News, Boston Business Journal, Mass High Tech, The Today Show and Good Morning America. Mike’s education and social networking prowess was developed at the University of Albany undergrad and Boston College business school. 
Dan Powell, Director Engineering & Steve DeLisle, Chief Architect Dan & Steve are responsible for TownConnect’s RubyOnRails development. Their background includes bleeding edge development work they can’t talk about and engineering experience at Revolution Health, Wellogic and Ysource.
TownConnect’s newest team member and now not so secret weapon, Fabio is responsible for designing and improving the front end of the website and for producing co-branded partner sites.
