Update on Updates & Bloggers Wanted
October 9, 2008 – 4:14 pm“Actions speak louder than words. “ I used this line as slogan when I ran for school president in college and it holds true in the way we operate TownConnect. Maybe it was all the Nike ads growing up but I prefer to just do it then talk about it. So is blogging a verb and action? Or is it just words?
Either way, if you are someone with an interest in social media, local networking, youth sports, volunteer activities and family management and want to share your ideas on this blog - please contact me.
Update on Updates:
- Three new media partners are launching TownConnect on their sites shortly - announcements to come!
- We have added two new software developers to the team: Welcome Ozeias and Thiago!
- Several new features and applications are on the way as well. Your feedback and input is vital to help us improve TownConnect. Please keep suggestions coming!
I promise to try to treat blogging as an action.
Cheers!
Mike

Its good to have a place where townspeople
can offer valuable information because they
have experience to share with us. We can
learn from other people. Most people like
to help others solve problems.
I like to share my experience with other.

I think that is a great idea but we need to get this out to other people so they know that there is a sight like this.
This sight could be used for many things, such as scheduling events, letting people know about small businesses and some advertisement as to chilc care etc. There are so many things that can be done with this sight.
For instance, Set up a mothers circle where we gain the trust of the parents in the circle and we take turns watching each others children so that the parents can have a peaceful night out once in a while. I know I would love that.
How about advertisement for small businesses in the town such as my candle business or somebody elses program or ideas.
There is so much more. Why cant we use this to inform the registered voters of the town about any upcoming town meetings and/or voting dates.
I am going to go further with this. Maybe I can find a way to start advertising to the town so that they will hop on the town connect wagon.
